How I built a life that doesn’t revolve around work

Hi there,

For years, I followed the traditional path: go to college, get a good job, climb the ladder, and hope it would lead to happiness.

But the truth? I was burned out, stressed, and constantly thinking about work - even after hours. Weekends felt like recovery time, not living time.

That's when I realized I didn't want to build a life around work - I wanted to build work around the life I actually wanted.

Here's how I made that shift:

  • I started side hustles (like blogging, freelancing, and selling online)
  • I paid off debt so I had more freedom and less pressure
  • I lived below my means - even when my income grew
  • I focused on creating semi-passive income streams

Now I live a slower, more flexible life. I travel when I want to. I work fewer hours. I spend as much time as possible with my daughter.

And I'm not waiting until retirement to enjoy my life - I'm doing it now.

If this is the kind of life you're working toward too, here are some helpful posts that might spark some ideas for you:

Enjoy!
